Easter is a tricky time to stay on the health wagon, but I made some alternative “Easter Treats” and tried..! These are great for cooking with kids all year round and aren’t really Easter specific at all.
It’s very much a “bung it all in the pan” recipe, so if you have any dried fruit etc. that you like then throw it in the mix too.
This is the receipt for these gluten free, diary free, refined sugar free, hassle free treats! :
5 tbsp of Coconut Oil
3 tbsp of Cacao
3 tbsp of Honey
2 tbspn of Maple Syrup
15 tbspn of Coconut Flakes
2 tbspn of Nuts n More Peanut Spread (or crunchy peanut butter)
1.5 cups of Gluten Free Puffed Rice or Quinoa Puffs
2 tbspn of Flaxseed
Big pinch of pink sea salt
Handful of crushed Walnuts
In a pan melt the Coconut Oil – Add the Cacao Powder – Then add everything else and stir.
Pop them in little cupcake cases and then in the fridge. Easy Peasy.
